This. Epstein was a genius. Pity he broke up the original to make more art. I saw a reproduction many years ago in a gallery - it's not often I could just sit and stare at a piece of art
>>740967348
and for a picture, probably this.
Saw it in a Liechtenstein exhibition in London some years ago. I walked around and deliberately left it to last
>>740967348
Is it B1 battle droid?
This is art
>>740960961
So mine is this chick Evelyn Mchale who kileld herself. It ended up beautiful. Pearl Jam used it as inspiration for Amongst The Waves.
>>740968133
>>740967859
Probably the other way around, considering it was originally made over 100 years ago

>>740965145
thx. needed that.
I remember noticing this painting for the first time at about 7 and sitting there for like 20mins trying to comprehend it in one of those 'eye opening' type little kid memories. It's been one of my favorites since then
whoever did this is my hero now

It makes me nostalgic for Canadian/North American nature even though I've never been there. I'd love to visit once (I live in The Netherlands). I'm a sucker for crystal clear lakes where you can see the bottom.
>>740973763
Yeah I live in wyoming. The grand tetons are fantastically picturesque. Other than that its really empty and kind hard to get around some places because of the rockies

I cry at 3:39, every time.
I made this piece way back in 2007, probably my best work up to this day
>>740974336
Thats beautiful
>>740973902
Empty is good for me. The Netherlands is fucking full of people, doesn't help that I live in a large city but even 'rural' areas are filled with highways, industry and people. Even my 'childhood' island gets busier and busier every year... On one hand I wish I could live in The USA, preferably New England, or in Canada. But many things are better here, healthcare, politics etc.
Do you live in the city or in the country? Do you go outside often? I usually ride my bike to get outside the city, there are some beautiful lakes and forests around here, but still the highway is always close. Perhaps I'd miss cycling, but then again with a good car you can get much farther and really into the wilderness where you live I presume?
Edit: took a long time to reply because captcha is fucking shitty

i am gonna need some explanation.

Mah nigga
Do movies count? if so The Mirror (1975) was a damn beauty, pic related
>>740974778
If movies count then The Shining is a fucking masterpiece. Or Interstellar, Inception, Melancholia. But let's not turn this into a /tv/ discussion.

That's a pretty small city, I live in Groningen which has 200k people. How are the winters there? Can't imagine really harsh winters. It usually only snows for around 5 days here, used to be a lot more but we're really starting to notice climate change (soft winters and wet, hot summers)

Fuck, the days where exploration was done by huge crews of men then dwindled down from malnutrition, diseases and the sheer cold. Fuck those were dangerous times to even to the simplest things.

>>740968939
That's amazing! I love the perspective and how even though they are able to create that distance it doesn't seem too cartoonish like when some people get lost in their work and they seem to forget what they were looking at or how they were looking at it, like the person sat there the whole time without a break and actually did it all right there without stopping so he could actually capture the whole picture.
>>740961023
are you retarded?
I know it's most likely b8... but it's retarded
>>740976346
Yep. He's a cunt.
>>740974064
Honestly artists were like porn directors back in the day. Tell someone they'll be famous or rich if they let you see them naked and put it into media or art. Only a few people could actually do something like this and actually consider it art.
>>740975707
The snow is erratic here. Sometimes we'll get a couple feet that goes away in a couple days or sometimes it'll snow in July or august. It gets cold and most winters have a good amount of time with snow cover that has to be plowed. Driving here in the winter sucks if you don't live on a large or popular street as it won't get plowed.
