To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. If you do, it should not be hard to notice that the show is changing from more of an episode-by-episode adventure show with some improvised humor and deeper philosophical topics to more of a continuous show focusing on the family. This also more or less happened to South Park in recent seasons.

Obviously with such changes, fans of the show will be upset. Some, like OP, attribute it to the changing writing staff. I don't know. I think they built up too much momentum and anticipation and are now too afraid to be as experimental, improvisational, and edgy as before.

It may be the case that women tend to choose careers that deal with people rather than things, and I'm not saying we should disregard these studies or data. What I'm saying is we should, for the purpose of having an equal, fair society, not treat this as a forgone conclusion and nurture our children to be whatever they want to be. I used to work for a major multinational at one of their biggest warehouses in my country. I worked with the management team as basically a bitch in the boardroom but I heard some stuff about people and it made me realise I'm trash
I watched people (mainly men) get passed over for promotion time and time again for 2 reasons
1) they were too good at their job and the company didn't want to promote them because they would have to hire 20 niggers to do the same amount of work
2) They were male
In a warehouse its like 90% male, 9% butch dykes wanting some $$ for their next rug to munch and 1% fitties cruising for fresh dick. So in order to meet these 50/50 gender equality bullshit at management level they hired external women who knew next to nothing about warehousing they got the job because they were the only females candidate. It lead to bad leadership, high management turnover and never getting anything done because there was always some bitch mouthing off about how she knows it all when shes in her job 2 months.
If sitting in those meetings taught me anything it was that you need to be 2 things to be promoted:
Mediocre and woman
