Meh, I see where you are coming from, The Marshall Mathers LP had more raw anger, but in my opinion, The Eminem Show was neatly wrapped up in a nice little bow and every song had reason to be on the album. It was beautiful to watch, but other than not being German, I had no reason to root for any of them. The movie did a great job of showing the ultimate British talent- standing in a line. I've really enjoyed Nolan's other films, but I feel like Dunkirk is getting too much love for 1. historical reasons and 2. Brexit.

Just watched Heat tonight for the first time in about a decade. A really great movie. If any anons haven't seen it, I highly recommend it if you're into those organized crime type movies.

Children of Men

Probably gonna watch that last one again if nothing else in this thread catches my eye. The cinematography in Children of Men is truly superb, and the story-writing is excellent. I hate the "refugees welcome" message, but such is modern Hollywood and life under the rule of the Jews.

I had no reason to feel bad for George or whatever his name was, the civilian that Cillian Murphy pushed over. I had no reason to hope for Tom Hardy's character. He ran out of gas. The Brits were reasonably ashamed when they reached Britain for the disaster. That was solved within 30 seconds. I've studied British history, I've watched lots of war movies. I'm not an expert. It's just not a movie worthy of all the love it's receiving. It's not a good movie. Then again, I'm not sure of any movie that can beat it for an Oscar run. Just don't say a movie is great because others think so.
