I can't pinpoint the first, but I used to have hallucinations as a child. Stuff like seeing shadows move, creatures jumping from the tree tops (I live in Florida, where no such thing exists).

The first thing I can recall is being about 3 years old, being in my bed and having this sensation that the walls were closing in on me. I looked up to the open closet door and on the top shelf where all my stuffed animals were, and all of them started moving and looking at me. I remember getting out of bed then the next thing I remember is waking up under the kitchen sink cupboard.

I recently noticed, that I imagine my thought process as me, posing the question to an imaginary crowd, in my head. Whose members then randomly bring in objections and arguments.
But I don't consider them to be a part of me, yet I understand their reasoning immediately, based on their short shout out.

Well, I don't really imagine a crowd. It feels like the sound of a small crowd murmuring, probably pondering the subject in the unconscious.
Every now and then one thought elevates about the murmur and I consciously perceive it. It seems like a shout, because it has to drown out the others.
When it pops up I don't engage with the voice, I just consider what it said and continue my thought process.

That's pretty interesting. It's not terribly far off from how I do it.
Mine is a bit like I "think" an idea. But there are no words to the idea. Then some words fall into my head from the idea, and a voice replies to those words (not me), then I talk to that voice about whatever I was pondering.

Indeed, I never considered that the murmur is an idea, not being expressed in words.
I recently started to play around with my perception. One of my considerations was, that words are very limited and should only be used to express thoughts verbally, not mentally.
I also am trying to train my ability to imagine objects and scenes. Managed a few time to perceive the surrounding as a visual image despite having my eyes closed, no drugs required.

Dunno how helpful this is but my girlfriend is schizophrenic and every time she would be freaking out paranoid about a hallucination or whatever, i would give her a massage and it would go away after a few minutes. After a couple years of doing this she hasn't hallucinated or had any delusions in about 7 months.

She might have just been having a psychotic break rather than actually being schizophrenic, but what do I know.
