Fluffies are basically programmed to not comprehend pain or trauma. The most recent tragedy they experience is literally the worst thing that's even happened to them. Most fluffies are resilient, and they're supposed to be. They're meant to simulate pets and therefore handle *gentle* punishment. Heavy abuse or extreme trauma will result in what's called a "Wan die" loop where the fluffy desires death and becomes immensely depressed. Fluffy are unlikely to recover from this.

I know the headcanon differs between each artist/writer but they're really not meant to be all that durable. They were designed as living children's toys and therefore are meant to be weak so they cannot accidentally hurt kids. They are meant to be fragile, disposable, and most importantly (to Hasbio), replaceable.

See, this is the best bit. You neuter them (so no unwanted fluffies), but they can still have sex all they want (which really is nowhere near as bad as pillowing). Generally it's considered that removing a male's balls stops him from being horny, so he won't be that bothered. If they really want babbehs, hey you can adopt! Helps solve the feral problem too.

It should be a law that fluffy pet stores only sell neutered fluffies. You want to breed them, get a licence. Any domestic fluffies that do end up feral won't contribute to the next generation.

You spend several minutes with everyone, giving them all hugs and headscratches, making sure to give pillow a lot of attention. You eventually get over to the stallion, still a little bruised up from all the sorry hoofs and dirty as sin from Pillow. You grab it by the scruff and lift it up. "You were a bad fluffy today Aaron.". It kicks it feet at the air, screaming about "bad upsies".

Pillow is a designer pegasus with smarty syndrom. The most beautiful richest colours that I haven't decided on yet because I have no sense of style and didn't want to paint myself into a corner choosing a shitty colour combo. She was acquired in a field next to a giant mansion that some rich guy with a bunch of daughters owns. For some strange reason she didn't have a collar or anything else that could identify her rightful owners(strange how those just seem to slip off sometimes) and was thus deemed a feral and taken home to breed her colours into the breeding supplies. The reason she was so easy to get was because she was a stubborn smarty that went adventuring knowing better than the rest of her old herd, and given her adventurous and stubborn attitude I knew nothing short of absolutely breaking her would make her fit to be a good mother in the herd.
