Basically me and the wife were talking about medically unnecessary cosmetic surgeries and how money spent on vanity could be better spent on altruistic endeavors, but also whether a line could/should be drawn for those who has serious esteem and confidence issues stemming from their cosmetic issue (flat boobs, wrinkles, etc). For me and my wife there's a line between necessity and comfort, and another between comfort and excess.

Example: I fucking love cars. I love everything about them. But even if I hate the Gates' fortune I couldn't see myself buying a Lamborghini, it's just pointless. The money could be put to better use at an animal hospital or something.

A bit off topic:
Years ago I decided that, should I ever become rich, I'd start something I'd call the "Lambo Scholarship". Basically I would take the MSRP plus TT&L for a Lamborghini flagship (right now it'd be the Aventador) and use the money to pay for the complete education, from Associate's to Doctorate, for 4 winning applicants, plus a new Ford Focus for each of them.

The point is to prove how much better that amount of money can be utilized by only sacrificing luxury.
