To improve it's durability, you could try to separate the cables of your fan from the motherboard and wrap them up in duct tape so they're protected from the water. Afterwards of cause reconnect them.
Otherwise the cable material usually won't withstand water for very long (ofc they want you to buy a new PC every few years)
