Roughly, how much would a recent Mexican-made Fender brown sunburst guitar go for at a pawn shop or a Guitar Center? I need it for heroin.

When I first started playing guitar, I thought fender strats and teles were the best you could get. But now that I've played for a while I've realized I hate how the neck feels with the rounded fretboard and whatnot. Feels gross in my hand. I prefer pic related (generic photo since phoneposting rn)
>>
>>739235815
Sorry, can't hate on the tele.
>>
That Tele looks beat to fuck. Sometimes that'a a good thing though.

Does the job for now, I wanna buy a strat with humbuckers and a 5 way switch soon.
>>
>>739238895
dollar for dollar, yamaha actually makes some very fine instruments. you can definitely find something usable in the 4-600 range.

You're pretentious about music and even more pretentious about companies and swear on your life that Fender guitars are the best.
>>
>>739240148
thats because they are the best

Get a used jackson or charvel in the strat shape. The floyd rose may be a pain but block it or have a legit version put in for $250 later on
>>
>>739240282
The Fender I had was one of my least favorite basses I've owned
>>

>>
>>739240148

Fender are the best
>>

Paid 500 for my Schecter C1-FR Platinum. Active EMGs for a hot tone, Floyd Rose is solid as fuck and it shreds incredibly well.
>>
>>739241277
>active pickups
>muh battery powered sustain
>>
>>739241079
I think the issue was the other way around. I'd hit the strings too hard and they'd come in contacts with the pick ups and it'd get super annoying after about 2 minutes.
>>
>>739241273
Do you play bass too or just guitar?
>>
>>739241652
you just described how novices play bass. especially a novice who doesnt know how to adjust the adjustable parts on said bass.

My current guitars. Have owned a couple more, but sold. I try to stay in the 3-4 range. Also my amp is a peavey 6505+ combo with different types of effect pedals and such. Been playing for 6+ years.
>>
>>739241799
I guess you'd call Billy Sheehan a novice since he also hits the strings really hard.
>>
>>739241929
billy sheehan played fender basses and didnt have his strings come in contact with his pickups, no matter how hard he was hitting. maybe you just suck dude
>>
I've been wanting to get into playing the bass for a while now, only played violin in the third grade.
how much would it cost to get a good set up at a pawn shop or something.
also i hear that you can buy some equipment from good will anyone know about this?

Pawn shops usually have more guitars that basses, and more guitar amps than bass amps. Reverb is a good website that sells used or new instruments that can usually be found for cheaper, but watch out for the shipping on it

I own 3.
I don't play steel string guitars that don't have a wide fretboard. Mainly because I play fingerstyle. I really want to, though. Can any anons recommend a guitar with a wider fretboard? Budget is under $1000.

>>739244782
If you just want to play for fun, it doesn't matter what you buy. If you can, go to the closest guitar shop and play every guitar. I can't recommend something if we have different tastes. However, Seagull makes excellent guitars that cover most price points.
>>
>>739238162
Strat, you near Philly? lmao
>>739238027
thx bb.
>>
I got an Alvarez Regent 5212 acoustic, and '68 Vox V263 Hawk IV bass inherited from my dad
>>
>>739245050
I bought the same set when I first started. It's an excellent buy if you aren't sure what style you want to play. I'm glad I got the cheapest set since I discovered I hated the electric guitar.
>>
>>739244415

>>
>>739244415

>>
>>739245606
Thanks (to be honest I was expecting a roast) I haven't been playing all that long but I really enjoy electric guitar so far. Though I am a dirty cuck and I have a cheap acoustic with nylons so it sounds nioce.
>>
>>739246401
On acoustics I like nylon strings more than steel strings because to me it is more fun to play even thought I think steel strings sound better
>>
>>739239538
I got the same one. I learned how to play through Rocksmith any other fags play that shit? Call me a poser for learning through a game but its fun as hell
>>
>>739247286
I played it a lot, but it got aggravating how often it would say you messed up even though the game was just bad sometimes.
>>

I'd call him a fucking scientologist, because he is.

>>
>>739239488
Ah, not a beginner, my les paul is my second guitar, my first was a beat up washburn that had worn out pickups. Also looking for something more like a Jackson or Ibanez

>>739240853
Thanks!

This Ibanez GRG270 and a Peavey Tube amp whose model I can never remember. Can't roast me faggots

Bought some random cheap guitar at a garage sale for $60 bucks. I need to take it to a luthier and get it set up because there is a lot of buzz when I play an open E, A, and D.
>>
How do you go about finding a guitar that's unique but also looks good? Strats and LPs are boring to me.
