I know it sounds weird when you explain it but in the dreamscape everything feels real and makes sense. Emotions are felt very intense, and negative emotions about 3 times as intense as the positive one.
I have very vivid dreams and am also a lucid dreamer. Since you seem interested I'll lay it out
So I was in this temple in the jungle. Inside it was dark and cold. In this temple was this massive creature that I could only describe as two wings of brown yellowish necrotizing flesh fused together with countless teeth and long spiny appendages with needle-like endings. (I should note that I am deathly afraid of needles). It was too big to actively chase me (think gaping dragon size) but it poked around with it's needles trying to find me. The feeling of dread was constant. It touched my leg once while flailing around and it jabbed at that spot. I avoided it but it still grazed my leg. It was around this time that I woke up

Sounds like a near death experience.

In my dream I had this "memory" or "awareness"? I guess I could call it that aliens were invading and my phone had social media flaring up about worldwide dinosaur-type monsters killing everybody all over the world. I didn't check my phone in the dream but I "remembered" having read it before getting mauled to death by these 6 eyed mini raptor things. They were bioengineered and everything felt very real. People suffering everywhere. It wasn't like an action movie. It was genuinely terrifying but I wasn't me. I was someone else. I didn't own any dogs. I had a wife or something but she was dead.

I had some dead soldier's gun and it had like 4 shots left so all I could do was die. I had no chance.

It was like jumping into someone else's body for a few minutes.

The first few times it's a shock because the negative emotions are felt so intensely. After a while you get more and more used to it.

I think I was a very wealthy Portugese man. There was a pod ready to go to the moon for me. I just had to get down this huge building. And I remember reading Portugese posters on the walls and understanding them. They were about conserving water.

The wood in the building was twisted in very beautiful ways, in shapes I had never seen before. Almost steam-bent or something. Curved and lining all the walls without being cut or fit together.

A lot of people were dying and the police were shooting everyone because they were trying to steal my pod.

I was extremely scared and my last thought before i died was wondering why they died protecting me. But at least I might see my wife again.
