And tangentially related http://wdstw.ytmnd.com/
Today I drove and was licensed:
>rear engine
>front wheel drive
>rear steering
>weighs 4 tons
>1 speed transmission
>LPG powered
What did I drive?
>>738198863
Forklift
>>738198942
dammit you're right
I finally got forklift certified today.
>>738199014
Nice. I knew it after reading the 4 ton bit, if it wasn't for that, I would have guessed a telehandler. I drive forklift at work as part of my job
>>738198863
I'm guessing some big ass piece of construction equipment.
10 years.. fuck
>>738199072
Yep, it's a yale forklift.
I wish we had a telehandler to drive. That would be so fucking cool.
>>738199088
We treat it like one. It's been around for probably ten years now and keeps on going.
>>738199173
Of...? Or is it best I don't know?
>>738199386
What would I be talking about that would be that bad? I meant this >>738198843
>>738199386
Yales aren't bad. The worst yet most fun was an old Clarke. Fucking thing was stickshift, and only had mast controls. The ones at work are all automagics with at least side shift. Some even have power forks so you can spread them with a lever instead of by hand
>>738199492
Ohb shit I thought you might have meant something else
Has it really been ten years since then? Time flies man.
>>738199518
Ours are a little old school. Both the reach machine and yale are automagic and have side shift, up and down and a mast tilt on them.
We still have to spread forks by hand but that's hardly anything because most palletized stuff is relatively the same dimension. Unless we have to go to flooring and then everything is super narrow except that hardie backer
>>738199763
I wish work still had the one gas powered forklift. I'm pretty sure I remember my old man telling me it had a leaning tower of power (slant 6) so guys would take it outside and do burnouts with it
I guess this week seven years ago too
And this week six years ago my parents left me and my brother to our own devices for a few weeks to start the moving process while I sat around and played airsoft and couch surfed.
Man I miss 2011
>>738199902
You call me out for thinking I was being cryptic then post this?
>>738199939
it is illegal to pull out when inside a woman
>>738200127
Impregnation is one of my fetishes
>>738199867
Holy shit that's awesome. Some of our guys will do burnouts in the yale outside without a load. I haven't worked up to that point because I'm still trying to prove that I'm, a competent driver.
We can also do some hektik skidz in it. Not sure what our leaning tower is, I just pull bundles of lumber down with it.

Seven years since I met that person.
Six years ago my family moved to socal. My dad moved in June into a family members house to start work here and then my mom followed after, leaving me and my brother to pack and basically do whatever we wanted for a month
You were a lot less cryptic than I was. Still 2010-11 was pretty wild. I knew this kid named Kevin and he had a mullet (real Billy Ray mullet) his junior and senior year and we had metal shop. He was technically a TA but we still did a lot of welding together and I helped him TIG up some of his bush plane.
