Killed TPP which would have killed more Union Jobs.

In just a few short months Trump has clearly accomplished more for Union workers than Obungles did in 2,920 days.

Hooray, that's 1200 low paying short term construction jobs that will dump those people back on the unemployment line again in what, 18 months, in an company he is heavily invested in. Same as DAPL

21 million workers in green energy, not worth mentioning, crippled and btfo in exchange for propping up 6000 old-timey jobs in a coal industry that can't make a profit because it mined all the cheap coal out by the 1970s, and only exists due to socialization & government handouts. Hamstringing the US innovation and the IP rights of this century onward, to maintain an energy policy from the 1800s that hasn't been relevant in half a century.

The people making the decisions under this bozo have no long-term view of anything. It's tear up the future to spend it today and fuck everybody everywhere if it makes me a buck.
>>
>>738183422

Let me be really clear.

People that identify as conservatives and liberals that buy into the RNC and DNC party lines are idiots. And the worst part is they don't even realize it. In fact, they aren't even capable of realizing it. They are the kind of people that will believe anything their chosen authority figure says, without any independent verification, regardless of evidence.

It's always been this way but mass media and a huge purposeful propaganda campaign by network news and other sources are making it much worse.

>>
>>738183917

The best part is the harder it gets to rationalize the world through their narrow viewpoint, and the more contrary to their preconceptions an idea is, the more violently they begin to react against it. They make no attempt at a coherent argument because deep down their logical brain probably knows that there isn't one, but they won't ever allow themselves to be wrong.

Being wrong is a concept completely foreign to these people. Even if they have to admit it, they will downplay the significance.

You are all a bunch of fags tbh. The TPP was great and Trumps veto and Sanders rhetoric will cost thousands of american jobs, and the well being of thousands of asian workers. You all literally deserve to die. The worst thing Hillary ever did was trying to play the populist game.
>>
>>738181591
Getting people to vote for you and actually doing things to help those people are 2 very different things.
Anyone can win an election on a bunch of promises, but delivering on those promises isn't always as easy as one might think.
I live in the rust belt. Jobs are not coming back, at least in the areas people want them to. Trump can do almost nothing to change this. People still voted for him, though, because of the promises he made, but now alot of those same voters, at least where I'm from, are starting to realize he's not going to be able to help them, so I wouldn't count on him getting a second term just yet. Like I said, anyone can make promises, but when you see jobs that were "saved" by Trump moving to another country anyway, you start to doubt his ability to deliver on those promises. If he actually can change things, and bring back jobs and all the other stuff he promised, that's great, but the outlook isn't too great thus far.

If you think president manbaby and his inept ring of morons haven't lit a fire under the countrys ass, you are in for a surprise.
>>
>>738184331

See? No attempt to respond with any sort of factual rebuttal or reason. Just fruitless personal attacks. The concept clashes with his personal views, so he cannot accept that it has an merit whatsoever.

I could tell him that I certainly do have a job and this and that but at the end of the day unless I am one of his authority figures he will believe nothing I say.

What's really fun is he probably thinks I'm a liberal, because the media makes these people think that anyone who is different from them HAS to be one of their enemies.

Careful, trying to use logic and reason on 4chan is a dangerous thing.

I agree with you, though. I am personally a liberal, but I hold no grudge against people who are conservative. Regardless of political ideology, however, I believe it is of importance to keep ourselves from operating in narrow echo chambers.

Personally, I understand greatly why people dislike CNN and a variety of different media outlets. However, I also don't think they're as bad as people make them out to be. It all really depends on different circumstances - for instance, I personally don't watch CNN live news, but I do read their articles, simply because they are generally a reliable outlet for staying up to date on current events. That said, if you read articles from Fox news you'd basically get about the same information. The clash comes from the opinion pieces and what sources these opinion pieces use to cite their information.

All in all though, all media outlets are good to have in my opinion. They provide alternating perspectives to take into consideration, and it's up to us as individuals to sift through these perspectives and discern factual information from non-factual information. Even so, that in itself will not be enough to solve the highly dissenting opinions in today's society, simply because there are a near infinite number of ways to interpret any given piece of information.

So, it essentially boils down to this - despite the divisive rhetoric from both sides, as well as huge amount of inaccurate information that has spread, is it still possible for us to come to a relative agreement over what constitutes a fact, and even come to some kind of compromise on some issues, or at the very least discuss these issues without clawing at each others throats? Maybe.

We're living in a period of time that is distinctly more aggressive than previous ones. Still, I believe we'll calm down as a society and reflect on the absurdity of our actions up to this point.

He isn't going to be impeached. Just not gonna happen.
We've had 2 other presidents be impeached, and neither of them ended up being removed from office.
Nixon was the only one that came close, but as soon as he found out he would most likely be removed by congress, he resigned, and then Gerald Ford pardoned him of any wrongdoing, so nothing happened to him.
Trump will either stay until at least 2020, or he will end up resigning over some scandal, but my money is on him at least finishing one term, I wouldn't hold my breath for a resignation, and impeachment is not even in the cards.

I'd beg to differ, and argue he has actually provided more meaningful opinions that what most others have offered in this thread.

Your problem is that you have developed a mistaken belief that you can somehow objectively verify your opinions, or that there is an inherently "good" way of operating a society.

The reality, however, is that there is none. Human behavior is too complex, varied, and unpredictable to declare that there exists a singularly correct ideology to apply to civilization. It's made even more complex by the fact that every human has a different idea of what constitutes an ideal civilization.

All you're doing is insulting others for trying to be non-partisan, because you think that people must logically fall on one of two sides or they are simply indecisive or inexperienced. Opinions are far more colorful and varied than that, however, and your opinion is merely one in seven billion. How about instead of ridiculing others for trying to ease divisive tensions, you help do the same so that we function more cohesively as a society? Just a suggestion.

Why would you trust anyone that lies to you in the public trust? Trump has done this. Congress has done this.

The media tilts and skews their reporting to fit an agenda, so why should I trust them either? Not many news outlets now just report what happened, rather than how you should feel about what happened.

Uhm, no.

Africa has a trade agreement with europe and through that they earn more with selling peanuts. So farmer started growing peanuts. Then less crops were farmed, people starved. At the same time europe was selling cheap chicken (about 30 cent per chicken) to africa destroying every animal based food source they had, because it was cheaper buying our food. More people starved.

Source for the chicken, can also provide source for the peanuts:

Don't force gloablism, it is already slowly happening. We don't have to enforce it through law. Or do you enjoy loosing all your local businesses, because it is always cheaper to produce in third world countries.

Dumping is prohibited in most free trade agreements, and from the looks of it it isn't even settled that the EUs been dumping. Further more it looks like they don't have a comparative advantage in that industry, so it is not a big deal that that industry is losing. People can get new jobs.

>Trade agreements between every country.
I just came.

Cool, increase welfare benefits, retraining programs, and possibly an NIT. Big deal. De-effectivizing the economy is stupid beyond belief.

>Don't force gloablism, it is already slowly happening.
It's happening better and safer with free trade deals. I can already do a business venture in countries without free trade agreements. However with these agreements there is less confusion over which laws apply, and the countries in question can agree on regulation. Why is this bad?

>Or do you enjoy loosing all your local businesses, because it is always cheaper to produce in third world countries.

Not that anon but I share a similar sentiment.

She lies. Honestly that's enough for me. But I'll go further. She supported the Iraq War and voted for the authorization. "well at the time they didn't know any better", you might say. But there was an independent senator from Vermont that voted against it citing that there was no evidence and that we'd leave the country in catastrophe. So she has no excuse. She was the driving force behind the Libya air campaign when she was sec of state. She was for the TPP which is an objectively shit deal for regular people in America. She colluded with Debbie Schultz to tilt the primary, then hired her onto her campaign staff after leaked emails proved she was actively working against the DNC charter and Sander's campaign. Hillary didn't once say a goddamn thing about any of it.

You could go into the shadier unproven stuff like how her foundation is corrupt as fuck, how her husband met with the AG the day before her indictment recommendation....I could type all day. I hate the woman, equally as much as I detest Trump.

Agreed. I hate that about her.

>Iraq
Iraq would've been more successful had we not pulled out. Saddam tried to commit genocide. He had to go.

>TPP
The TPP would've been good for everyone. Comparative advantage dictates there would be a net gain in jobs, while effectivizing the economy and thus make items cheaper to buy. The TPP also had clauses that would increase worker safety regulation in the other countries. This was the golden standard of trade deals.

I don't get that shit at all. Just a confusing mess. Hillary would've won either way though. Breadlines Bernie is a nutcase.

Fucking Trumpets have GOT to be the most gullible fuckers on earth at the moment. The man can't tell the truth to save his life. As soon as the Republicans get all the shitty legislation out of him they can, they will turn on him like a pack of hyenas. It WILL happen before the 2018 mid terms if it looks like they will lose seats.

Regarding the DNC rigging. Democrats will not be able to win elections if they keep thumbing their noses at progressives. There are too many of them now, sick of the fake liberal posturing of the DNC. Liberal in emotional social issues that won't cost them corporate cash, but conservative on economic issues.
>>
>>738192319

> Bernie is a nutcase

Check his voting record and get back to me please. You seem at least a little more intelligent than to buy into the "HE'S SEIZING THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION!!!" line.

There's actually a case going on right now over the conduct of the primary where the DNC lawyers argue that the party doesn't owe it to anyone to have a fair primary and that they can change the rules whenever they want. They even argued that the court can't legally define impartiality.

Or if you really want to be abhorred at how the DNC acted look up the Nevada caucus, that'll get your blood going.

> Saddam tried to commit genocide

He was the only thing holding that country together at all. Just like Ghaddafi in Libya. Just like Assad in Syria. Those countries were all pretty fucking livable until we got involved.

Liberalism is about property, life, and liberty. What you call economic conservatism in america is called liberalism in europe.
>>
>>738192995
What in particular do you think he voted good on?
The reason I hate him is because of his rhetoric and proposed policies. A 15 minimum wage would be death for many americans. Fracking isn't bad. Sweden is not socialist. Breadlines are not good. You are not more likely to find the american dream in Venezuela. He's a fucking lunatic.

Guess what held Iraq together after Saddam was killed? America, and it worked well. Pulling out may be the biggest mistake of the 21st century.

That's why we were fighting a brutal insurgency until 2009, because they loved us so much. That's why we installed a super sectarian regime that alienated the Sunni population and made them ripe pickings for ISIS. Because you can call it working well when the stability of your country entirely depends upon a foreign military occupation. That doesn't add up to me.

https://votesmart.org/candidate/key-votes/27110/bernie-sanders/?p=1

Almost everything. Voted against the patriot act and extensions, against iraq war resolution, voted for everything involving government transparency. See for yourself. Do some real research. I've been a fan of him since I first learned there was an independent senator back in poli sci school.
