It's unkown how many people are aware, but she most certainly is. During the firsy attempt to get her to respond we publicly commented on a post about it. After about 5 or 6 pf these comments she replied with "lol #snakescience", and 15 minutes later all coments relating to the subject were deleted. A few weeks ago during a live stream an anon asked her about snakes (not the incident) and convinced her to slightly open up about it during the livestream.
