>>737508887

>>737508887

>>737509718
Is that an american thing? What even is that?
>>737509754
Neat. Does is smoke up your space or does it have a proper chimney?
Hot water radiator
campfire in living room
>>737509811
>does it have a proper chimney?
I'm preety sure it would be illegal to have it smoke the house. A chimney, yes.
>>737509796
It's certainly an Australian thing. It's a Split-system reverse-cycle air conditioner.
>>737509859
Eastern europe?
>>737509878
You wish.
>>737509882
It would be illegal, but many times that stuff is old and rarely cleaned properly, so you can still smoke and soot in your room.
>>737508887
paying for heating, heh heh suckers
>>737510047
I unironically second this.
>>737510047
so you stole those?
That makes you a knitted wool thief.
>>737509902
Aka; heat pump. I'm getting mine installed in a week or so. Do you keep it on all night through winter? Just curious. Never had one.
>>737510112
I actually agree, all my money is saved for summer when I blast the AC without a single care for the environment.
>>737510097
Africa get out
>>737510173
>all my money is saved for summer when I blast the AC
Normies go on expensive vacations, they don't know the struggle.
>>737510152
This? Yes.
>>737510162
>>737510147

major kekles
>>737510382
You can't heat your house with that idiot.
>>737510295
Nah, what the dude posted after you, the rectangle above the door. It's called a heat pump, NZ and Australia use em. Heat for winter, cool for summer. Whatever that is looks cool though
>>737510443
can too dumb ass. i do it regularly.
>>737510483
How? Burning it?
>>737510564
No dunce, by turning it on and standing with my big palms outward
>>737509811
>Does is smoke up your space or does it have a proper chimney?
Lol. What is carbon monoxide poisoning?
>>737510646 haha yes i love carbonile and garfeld :)
>>737510646
A myth created by chimney companies.
>>737510460
>heat pump
>australia
Nah. Victorian plebs maybe. In summer we just wear singlets... in winter something thicker at night.
Heating is for faggots
>>737509718
>>737509796
Those are cool units. I've seen a few get installed in a few jobs I've done. They're nice for additions or places where you don't have the space or means for conventional hvac.
>>737510756
How much do they cost? Look based.
>>737510173
It cost me less to run the central air in summer than to heat with oil furnace in the winter. Upstate NY winters can suck sometimes
My 18th Century farmhouse has a hypocaust (underfloor / wall heating invented by the Romans)
So snug and cosy in the winter. Still warm from the night before when you come down for breakfast in the evening.

>>737510942
Did you even look at the thread?
>>737510858
They are cheaper than traditional units and are energy efficient. You're not going to want to put one in every room but they are good for big areas or additions/basements where you don't have an extra zone.

>>737509657
but my new CPU and GPU doesn't heat so well anymore
>>737511003
you got me beat with that.
>>737509776
really bad at heating, have this one too. get a radeon bulldozer card OC and additonally a pentium 4 CPU
trust me
>>737511270
Also got a macbook with Abelton in the room, that sort of helps out the rest of the way.
it heats you from the inside on a cold night.

They've largely gone out of use in the US. The only places I still see them are cheap hotels or government buildings from the 70s-80s.
>>737508887
that is how my grandpa used to heat up the house
