The sole fact that I am responsible for this human life, how they grow up, their way of thinking, it terrifies me to death. Like what if I fuck it up. But then I think about the times that we'll share, all the laughs, all the cries, all of the in-betweens and it makes me happy and excited. The idea of being a parent gives me butterflies in my stomach. And the fact that they'll love me, and tell me that they do as I tuck them into bed. Ever tried to adopt? The whole fucking system is against you. We are presently on 6 different adoption systems and could have almost paid off our mother fucking house by now because of the bullshit lawyer fees and provincial/federal admin fees, then to cap it off, dumb cunts taking advantage of us... we've been "matched" for adoption 5 times, which means we were selected by a pregnant mom to adopt her kid. It also means we start paying some of her expenses. Each time I have been at the hospital for the birth, I've been the first one to change that beautiful bastard's diaper. 2/5 times we even had the baby home. But, the mom has 39 days to reconsider, and here we are.
