So im relatively new to vaping, i got a smok alien200 with the baby beast tank, and was using the baby t6 coils at .235 ohms and 90 watts. I just upgraded to the cloud king beast tank, and the v12 coil, it says the best wattage is 130 to 200, and the coil is rated at .12 ohms. However my device only goes down to .205 ohms. Thats safe right? As long as it doesnt go below the resistance thatthe coil is rated for.

Your device must be showing you a faulty ohmage. It's pretty much safe to use it however the coil reccomendation recommends. Wouldnt go to 200 though.

Really depends on how much your Batteries will push. A typical pair of dual 18650 batteries will only go up to 9 volts. Roughly 130 watts in My mod.

I don't recommend the "big" baby beast though.
A lot of people including myself have had it short out.
I stopped using my Alien too because it always registers the one battery bay as much lower than the other and it just got worse over time.

You can't use a lower ohm coil than what the battery will allow. Basically it is blocked electronically. Either get a battery that will go lower/give more power, or get different coils.

The expected, but the resistance is a physical limitations of energy flow based on the length of the wire used to make the coil. Unless you can magically add wire to the coil, that isn't going to fire.

Resistance is someting defined by material, thickness and lenght of the wire.

the only possibility where this would make sense is in temperature mode. To manually adjust the resistance at 21°C

It's chinese so your's might be messing up. My Alien works like it's supposed to and fires in wattage mode above .1 ohms.

Even then, the hardware physically won't allow it to fire a coil that has that resistance. It is literally hardware controlled, not firmware. The block is physical.
