Nah.
>>
>>736241270
When I'm masturbating and I'm climaxing sometimes I fart and cum at the same time
Is that normal?
>>
>>736241270
why is it if i stop jerking off then jerk off after 2 weeks later it feels better??
>>
>>736241405
Ejaculation is a sympathetic nervous response, which could cause you to have increased abdominal pressure and force some air out.

But no. It's not normal. You disgust me.
>>
why not a doctor?
>>
>>736241524
Dunno. Maybe I'll need to try that myself... for science.
>>
>>736241270
How come you couldn't get into med school?
>>
>>736241270
does your profession tell you to not give free advice to people? I'm a paralegal student and when I tell family they just can't fucking wait to jump at me with all these fucking legal questions, and I can't give free advice.

I'm wondering if you have any recommendations on how to put them down lightly (I'm kind of an asshole about it lol)
>>
>>736241270
are you gonna be a conceited faggot like most PA's?
>>
>>736241559
The way healthcare is going, midlevels are more sought after. To make a very long discussion short, if med school wasn't 4 years long then 3-8 years of residency (not to mention $300,000 in many cases), then I would have considered it more.

The problem is that a lot of doctors are retiring now. That means we need a lot of providers right now taking care of patients. Not in 10+ years like for doctors. Right NOW. With that said, I love doctors and what they do. I'm not bashing doctors. They have more of a passion for medicine than I do, I guess.
>>
>>736241647
I didn't take the MCAT.

>>736241813
Sure we can. Now once I am certified that's when it becomes an issue, because at that point what you say is in a sense legal advise. It's the patients life in their hands. If a dude came up to me and asked my professional opinion on whatever medication and I say something like, "Oh, yea just take like 100 pills my dude rofl" and he does it, then I get in trouble. Understand what I am trying to say?

>>736241823
Yes.
>>
>>736241813
I have a cousin that a lawyer and he gives freel advice to his family and friends all the time
Quit being such a autistic sperg
>>
>>736241813
Well first step is acknowledging that 'can't' and 'won't' don't mean the same thing. I know, divorcing words from their meaning is the hip new trend and all... but try.
>>
Do you still get a boner when you have to examine breasts?
>>
>>736242026
he's a lawyer- I won't be. There's a huge god damn difference.
>>
>>736242025
great i hope some patient jumps the triage counter and punches your throat in when you give him attitude
>>
>>736242091
No... most straight guys wouldn't. For every pair of nice titties you see, you see 100 saggy, gross, nasty ass tits.

>>
>>736241270
How wealthy are you?
>>
>>736242025
yeah, makes sense- Misrepresentation can jeopardize your career and call your license into question.
>>
>>736242107
and not being a lawyer you face even less restrictions on your speech.
>>
>>736242109
Why would I be at the triage counter?
>>
>>736241270
Why is my dick only 5"?
>>
>>736242245
well if I'm working for somebody, any legal advice I give will reflect directly on his or her practice. So if I say "Do X" and idiot does it and fucks up, not only am I in trouble but my employer is as well.
>>
>>736242227
Gosh. I haven't a clue. Maybe gimme some history on the patient? Looks like a cancer. Possibly a mastitis that got a little too crazy.

>>736242236
I'm upper middle class. Not too much money, though. Not anymore due to loans.
>>
>>736242300
depends, i work at a county hospital and we have the PA out in the lobby with the triage nurses primarily because of the amount of patients we receive.
Most PA's are faggots there and one did, in fact, get his trachea crushed when a patient jumped the counter during and interview and punched him square in the throat when he said some rude shit.
I have yet to meet a PA there who isn't full of themselves.
>>
>>736242424
yes but unless the family and friends asking you for the advice are clients of your employer that doesn't apply.
the topic at hand isn't improperly advising clients, its basic legal questions by friends outside your employment.
>>
What made you want to become a symptomologist?
>>
>>736242540
Are you sure the problem isn't you? You seem very defensive and mad.
>>
>>736242565
fair enough, that makes a bit more sense to me.

As it is, I am very cautious about what information I divulge to people. I'll give people general knowledge about what laws exist, but I clam up when they say "what should I do?"
>>
>>736242626
I fucking love medicine. I live it. Breathe it. I catch on quickly and I do very well in clinical application of what I've learned in my years.

The best part is that it's such a gigantic field, no one can know even 1/100th of all the information there is out there. It's humbling when you realize how much you don't know.
>>
>>736242648
could be but I would be more partial to that argument if the majority of nurses and techs didn't share my sentiment.
>>
>>736242185
yeah i remember being all excited when this hot girl came into the OR for a procedure that meant i'd get to see and touch her vag... then of course they cut out her uterus and handed it to me, and i never got excited about such things again.
>>
>>736242788
What do you do?

>>736242877
You're gross, my guy.
Nah, I'm joshing you. Everyone looks forward to that and everyone talks about that still. But you put your job first and you ignore the hotness and just look at your patient as your patient.
>>
>>736242540
well the patients in an ER aren't generally the most pleasant people.
I've known several PAs from working in hospitals, not any better or worse than anyone else
>>
>>736243107
it was almost as bad as that first time combo of seeing someone cut open and the smell of the electrocauterizer made me lose my vision and have to leave for a few minutes
>>
>>736243406
That smell never really bothered me.

...now gangrene on a diabetic's foot. My god. You will never forget such a stench.
>>
>>736242227
that's a titty????
>>
>>736241270

I'm a type 1 diabetic, I have had it for probably 10 years or more and was diagnosed last October. Have severe neropathy in feet, my vision is fucked up from it. I am thin, I have been told several times that I have low blood pressure and a high heart rate, my primary care Dr. who specializes in palliative care and mainly deals with old people was concerned and ordered a chest echo.

I have pain in my right thigh which hardly goes away, I believe it is due to the thinning of my blood vessels from the diabetes or peripheral artery disease. Sometimes have chest pain.

I have lightheadedness and nausea often, sometimes its debilitating, and another reason I was sent to a heart Dr.

Day of the chest echo comes around and I'm feeling fine that day and do good on the stress test. Heart Dr. basically blows off my concerns of the chest pain, leg pain, nausea and lightheadedness. Tells me be concerned if I have severe chest pain and that's it.

Thinking about starting an aspirin regimen just in case. I am not happy with the situation, how do I get my Dr to take this seriously?
>>
>>736241270
why not actual medicine?
>>
>>736241270
When I cook a steak in a cast iron pan, do I need to add oil o should I go dry?

The fucking smoke from burning oil triggers my asthma.
>>
>>736243619
yeah it was first time thing, i was still a kd, never had a physical reaction like that again. didn't even need to put that stuff on the inside of my mask like most of the nurses did
>>
>>736242413
In my professional opinion, it's because you're a faggot
>>
how do i cure the gay away
>>
>>736244066
Find a new doctor. He should understand your concerns and if you feel like he isn't taking you seriously, take your life elsewhere.

How old are you? You are probably in your early or mid 20s? Maybe late teens?
>>
Was Hitler right?
>>
>>736244335
Olive oil, for sure!

>>736244450
There is no cure for AIDS, unfortunately.
>>
>>736241559
Probably to stupid for it, that's why he's a /b/tard
>>
>>736244066
>I believe it is due to the thinning of my blood vessels from the diabetes or peripheral artery disease.

o rly. well im surprised he even bothered running tests, self-diagnosis by patients being so accurate and all
>>
>>736241825
BS. You got a BS degree, then weren't smart or good enough to get into med school. Now you're getting a master's with little to no previous medical experience.
>>
is there a way to make sure my baby is born an aspie
>>
>>736244705
$100,000 a year starting is some pretty good BS.

Well I was an EMT and in paramedic school (until I dropped out when I was accepted to PA school) and worked in the ER and an urgent care for a few years, as well as shadow doctors and PAs since I was 14 years old, so I wouldn't say I have NO experience.
>>
>>736244489
I'm 38.

I feel like the Heart Dr isn't taking me seriously, Primary care Dr. seems kinda dense but I think he is doing an alright job. I plan on getting a second opinion but its a 5 hour drive one way.

I'm a 2nd year emergency medicine resident.

Ask me anything. I'll be redirecting all questions to the PA, though.
>>
>>736244705
medical school is far more expensive than college, and doctors dont make as much as they used to, is it any wonder that some people who could've done so had reservations about taking on hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt over and above what they already owed for undergrad?

>>736244914
100k a year is before hugely expensive things like malpractice insurance.
>>
>>736244924
You were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 28? Unusual, but not impossible. I'm assuming it was the delayed onset autoimmune attack diabetes?

Well I wish you the best. I hope you find out what's wrong. Diabetes is not fun.
>>
>>736244666
Fuck off, I didn't tell him that at the appointment. After the fact I looked it up to see what it could be because he blew me off. Diabetes causes thinning of your blood vessels and that can cause fucking pain faggot.

kys
>>
>>736245173
>You were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 28?

No diagnosed last October at 38. Its adult onset
>>
>>736245344
Oh, okay. Gotchya. I still wish you luck.
>>
>>736245426
Thanks.
>>
>>736245447
Oh. What do you mean "actual medicine?"
>>
>>736245533
Like being a real doctor and not a glorified nursing assistant.
>>
>>736245533
why is it "physicians assistant" and not "doctor of medicine"
>>
>>736241270
Are you too stupid to become a doctor?
>>
>>736241270
If someone insists they need drugs for something will you just give it to them or are you going to be an asshole about it and give them a hard time?
>>
>>736245644
>>736245685
see >>736241825

>>736245718
I just had different plans in life. Maybe I am. I never took the MCAT, so I guess I'll never know.
>>
>>736245798
Depends on what the drug is, why they need it, and if they have evidence that they've had it before.
>>
>>736241270
Did you see kovalev get stopped like a bitch
>>
>>736246039
No
>>
>>736245832
I like the way you're handling these 'are you too stupid to be a doctor' questions. The reality is becoming a doctor is such a long road and a huge commitment, it's not feasible for everyone. I wouldn't look down on anyone for doing something else. PCPs of all kinds, MD/DO and midlevels, are in high demand right now, so you're going to do well in the job market.
>>
>>736246148
Thanks, my guy. The comments don't bother me whatsoever. I'll make a very healthy living and I'll still do what I love. I'm sure a part of me will always wonder what life would have been like if I picked med school or DO. Hell, it is still a possibility. I just wanted to go a different path. Everyone fills a role, you're right. Everyone is critical.

Regardless, it's a good field and I will fit a role that truly is in high demand right now.
>>
>>736246148

Deep.
>>
>>736246649
That's not really true. Becoming a full attending physician in the US takes 11 years post-high school at a minimum. On the other hand, you can become a felon today if you want.
>>
>>736247300
become a felon, then
>>
>>736247553
I'd rather not.
>>
>>736248250
why not, though? Theres always work for felons
>>
>>736249005
Not the kind I would enjoy. Felons cannot work in the medical field.

>>
>>736249053
says who? How bout insurance scam? Organs on black market?
>>
>>736249297
That's my goal. I thrive in the ER. THRIVE. People come to me for advice on emergency medicine in class. With that said, I still know so little about medicine in general. Lol. As I said, this field can humble a person.

>>736249362
Insurance scam how? Organs might not be a bad idea, though...
>>
>>736249636
Yeah. I have an EMS background (left paramedic school to go to PA school). It helped me in school because I knew some drugs and how to read an EKG. It helped me in practice because I could identify a "sick" patient.
>>
>>736249986
Same. As I said earlier, I was an EMT and I was in paramedic school when I was accepted to PA school. Emergency is what I do, man. If there is one specialty I am confident in, it's emergency.
>>
>>736249986
Just want to say it's pretty neat we both dropped out of paramedic school for PA school. lol. What are the odds?
>>
>>736241270
Me too. Fav rotation so far?
>>
>>736250160
>>736251025
Make sure you guys figure out if you want to be in the OR or not. If you even remotely have an interest in surgery then do your electives in surgical specialties.
