does consistency indicate validity? I don't think so, as sixteen categories is too few to accurately a "type" of personality accurately, there is too much variance between intps, intjs... etc. Perhaps the mbti works to very roughly categorize personalities, but IMO it is too broad to be meaningful.

Consistency indicates reliability, but for validity I've had people take the test, around a dozen I could find and they agree with the results.

I think it's the most accurate test of personality we have, of course it can be more specific but that takes too long to research.

I used to be introverted. I saw how other people treated extroverts They are empowered know what they want and communicate it in such a way that they seize it. As an introvert I would shy away from talking to people to get what I wanted or go through great lengths to get it that didn't involve talking to people. One day I said this is stupid and I made it my mission to talk to people. I was bad at it but slowly got better. Talking with people is a skill it takes practice to get good at it. If introversion is a state of being then it's a state of being lazy or afraid to develop your talking to people skills.
