That being said large trucks on the interstate are often not allowed to use the "fast lane".

If there's dash cam/cctv footage of you purposefully braking for no other reason than to cause an accident then it's considered dangerous driving.
If there's no video evidence and it's just your word vs theirs with no other witnesses then generally the person behind is considered at fault.

I never saw the appeal of brake checking somebody because you BOTH lose if it goes wrong. I simply gradually slow down, change lanes if possible or pull over and let them pass.
