First edition can go from like $150-300 bucks. I picked up a copy off ebay for about $85 with shipping. worth every penny if you're a fan.

This is a cool post, but I don't think it's accurate that Giger wanted to make the aliens for the movie sexy. He just did the concept of the alien and the alien engineer in the first movie. Ridley Scott had his own idea of what the alien was. It doesn't reproduce by taking advantage of the hosts reproductive organs, but the digestive system. It is interesting to imagine what Giger himself would have done with the movie, but he was not in that position.

Giger himself was no doubt inspired by the shapes of human reproductive organs in his work, but Xenomorphs are not penises. Giger had no influence on the story of alien, he only did the concept for someone else's work.
