One of the first things I ever did when the internet was created was try to find gross/fucked up shit. Everyone loved those medical oddities books, it's part of human nature.

That being said, it became wildly popular to promote some of the sickest shit imaginable. I can't say with any certainty that 4chan was a leader in that, but we had our rules 1 and 2 that many abided by. We knew then that this place should not be mentioned in public. This place was a sick shame we all accepted in our own lives, but there's no excuse to be shameless in public about it. That notion faded over time, and you have the people of 4chan today.

We should feel shame for the insane bullshit we post here, there's lots of fucked up crap that we do, share, post, think about- but God Dammit, we should never get so comfortable with it the way we have.

I remember someone posting the fuck yeah comics and cool face (troll face) and talking about whether it was a good business idea to make clothes with memes on them.

I said no, others did too, but we wanted to keep the autism caged. I watched as the community around me promoted their degeneracy and shame in public and in college. It's not something to be proud of.

I have to say- I remember when reddit came along and the war we had with them. Honestly they are not as bad as people assume. Half of 4chan these days also uses reddit. Tumblr as well.

The names of these sites incites so much rage and hostility with people, but most of them don't even know the actual reasons why 4chan hated them in the first place.

Autism is everywhere: tumblr, 4chan, reddit, instagram, facebook... autistic, horrible spergs are way more vocal than ever and they don't just spot "le" and don't speak in retarded internet speak.

I would ask if you really enjoy the classic stuff 4chan was known for: quality posting, work horror stories, sex horror/glory stories, all that and more is available on reddit. I gave them an actual fucking chance since it has been almost decades since the war with them.

They even have 4chan boards. I'd go with /r/classic4chan. You get some great posts. The regular 4chan board is run by some of the most retarded people I've ever spoken to.

I will say that I hate the trends in pornography.

I remember maybe one occasional shemale would be posted on /b/ and we'd all have a laugh because it was crazy. Now it's everywhere. Futas/traps are all the rage, and it fucking wrecks my mind trying to understand why it is not only so out of control, but people seem antagonistic about it.

before /soc/ came along we'd have women posting their own nudes, looking to fuck someone. /soc/ was made to stop all those posts, but dick rate threads, hookup threads, and "boipussy" threads all stayed on /b/ for reasons I'll never understand. Why is it that only pussy was punished?

I honestly felt a need for change from this place (giving reddit an honest chance) after about a year of dealing with this cuckold obsession. It sickens me how the people who used to be known as weak beta pieces of shit are now somehow flipping that shit as if it's a major power trip.
