1. Humans wrote the bible/quran and humans are by nature sinners/imperfect. Cultural norms change with the age and location and humans are inherently biased. Say the books were made according to the words of God. That doesn't change the fact that humans were the ones who hand wrote it.

Many may come across as that way to you, but I guarantee you if they're true Christians who've accepted Jesus Christ and read the gospel and aren't fucking retarded or schitzo then they aren't truly 100% sure. I condemn the acts of extremist groups and religious killings if that's what you're implying. I can't condone any hateful speech in any religion. I want to say I believe in what you're saying. It isn't right to push religion on other people the way Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and other such groups do. I don't like advertising ones beliefs. Personally, I believe Christianity is the path to salvation, but I also believe it's not the only path, so long as someone is a good person at heart. I believe it should be made available but not forced upon others.

I'm not talking about the fringe extremist cases either. I'm thinking on a smaller scale, but more effective way. Group think is one way to put it. Essentially you have a majority, like Christians in the US, but imagine our politicians most are Christian, now have some fringe cases in there who want laws based on the Bible or give preference to it, like the evolution vs intelligent design debate. That's forcing your views on people. Even if evolution was flawed, it's not really something for kids at school to debate, but academics in their fields, at universities, in labs, etc. Intelligent design has been debunked, and just doesn't belong.

Another example would just be how most religious people become religious. "They don't". They are essentially raised religious instead of secular and letting them decide/letting them figure it out for themselves. Now do that in a group setting, but in rare cases, some will become atheist or other religious. Those kids will be ostracized because they don't conform. They basically have to conform or be left out.

I'd argue that God reveals himself to those who need him most and are still willing to accept him. Do with that as you will.
As for teaching intelligent design in schools and all that, I agree. It shouldn't be forced upon kids, but at the same time, nothing that has no proof should be forced upon kids. It should be presented to them in a realistic manner that lets them decide their own views on the subject matter. All viewpoints should be widely available to them. I agree there are certain stigmas applied to atheists more so than religious folk. I'm sorry for that, I don't agree with it and neither do many other religious people. Unfortunately, it's a slight cultural norm at this point.
