The humans worth isn't clearly defined, but many people argue that it is the sum of productive (objectively humanely beneficial) influence and their own experiences. On top of that you have the potential to become a parent to many children to inherit good traits and behaviours to.
If a child is killed this all is taken away from it, but also from the parents who possibly tried their best to raise it. No parent should take their child to the grave, that's not how it's supposed to be, and even if you don't want to hear it: Yes, there is potential in most children.

I'm not a huge fan of the ""argument"" muh chilluns either, but i see that it's not entirely pointless.
