TV shows:
1st one that comes to mind is the Dr. Who ep where Rory is sent back in time by the angel and Amy is so distraught she decides to allow the angel to send her back as well.
Another Dr. Who ep - the one with Vincent Van Goh, the scene where he is brought into the future to see his art on display in the museum and how people are enjoying it. To see how happy he was, and then at the end when he wrote the note to Amy on the sunflowers. I tear up everytime...
Movies:
#1 by and far was Homeward Bound:The incredible journey. The end when shadow gets hurt and tells the others to go on without him. Then the kids and parents hear chance and sassy. Chance comes 1st and everyone is all happy, then Sassy comes out, again all happy. Then...nothing. No shadow, no barks....The heartbreak in the little boy when he said I guess he was just too old....Then when shadow does come hobbling out and looks injured, but is going as fast as he can to get to the little boy....
My heart cries every damn time.
>>733804912

Also, checked.
There's a hospice documentary called "except for six". The very last part of the movie when the doctor is preparing to pronounce the man's death he tries to talk but can't. His wife leans down closer and he whisper/sighs "I love you". The guy dies within a few minutes after that. I watched it with a room full of hot nurses so I played the tough guy. She doesn't die of aids, she dies of hepatitis C. It lines up perfectly with the timeline on when they discovered HIV and when they discovered Hep C. Jenny wouldn't have said she was dying if she had HIV at the time, and Forrest would have known what she died OF before she died if it was HIV. Hep C they would know she's dying, how she would die, and about how long but they don't know why she has hepatitis.

They didnt want to scare away 50% of the audience. Are you retarded or is this bait ?
In Project X (1987)
They are irradiating apes trained to pilot to see how long they last before they die... bad enough feels there
But then in one scene some crap gets stuck in the irradiatormatic and it is going to go into meltdown so they bribe an ape that loves to smoke with a cigarette to go and pull the crap out and save them all. And he comes back for his cigarette but they cant give it to him through the window and he just paws at the window trying to take it out of their hands looking confused and disappointed after he just saved them all... poor guy couldnt get his cancer to top off his lethal dose of gamma rays :(
I am not ashamed to say that i also shed a tear at the end of the movie when all the pilot trained apes flew off into the sunset on their own plane as well!

Ha! I was just about to say I ruined this movie for my wife (and myself, basically) by laughing throughout the whole flick saying "wet dreams will come! Hahaha!"
It was new and I was much younger.

It's not uncommon for a good movie to have an emotional tearjerker ending
but fuck me if I wasn't getting teary-eyed constantly through that movie
Just watched A Dog's Purpose, cried like a bitch at the dog running and jumping into the boy's car, and him at the vet.
Also Dead Poets when you see Kurtwood Smith rush into his office saying "Oh Neil!" Fantastic acting in that movie.

It's unbelievable they're part of the same franchise, forget about the initial wolverine movies it's unbelievable how much better it is than the last two Xmen movies in general, that movie is a masterpiece not just of comic book movies, a general cinematic masterpiece

eh, jenny is supposed to die around 1980, HIV/AIDS outbreak really boomed in '81. I guess it's possible she had hep C, but the papers on its discovery weren't until '89, so I don't know why they would make the plotpoint that she died from a disease that wouldn't be discovered for several years instead of forrest saying she died from a "mystery" disease the year before AIDS became extremely relevant. Thats just kind of of reaching for the sake of reaching
The last scene of the movie Lion with the real footage of the guy meeting his mother for the first time in 20 years really had me in tears. The happiness of reuniting with his mother after so long, but at the same time the sadness of finding out his big brother died, so many conflicting emotions.
