I don't hate the police, just sheriffs and deputies. Every one I've had an encounter with, in multiple states, was a power tripping ego junkie.
I hold state troopers in the highest regard when it comes to LEOs. I live troopers. Every incident has been great.
Local municipal LEOs vary greatly. I've had some funny, interesting, encounters, while others were power trippers with God complexes that thought a badge and a gun meant they invincible.
Still, I rank my worst experiences with county sheriffs and deputies. I despise them. Maybe you're one of the very few who's actually decent. But in my experience, that's very few and far in between.

my job is very locked and tight here. ive been with my county for 10 years. and have afew other law enforcement jobs i can jump to. we do have a pd in the city. we get along fine. all have the same misson. i will say our job is harder though. pd has immediate back up. sometimes im the only one out for the night. i have also never worked in the court.
