This won't be the most popular opinion, but I went for a larger case, and I prefer stainless steel. Yes, it's heavy, but it is also durable. I can secure it to whatever I want, and nobody is easily taking it out of my house. Secondly I look at airflow. What fans come installed in the case? I usually remove them and install new fans anyway. Exhaust > Intake. Also, with regard to airflow, I like cases that have removable and cleanable filters. This keeps the dust out. I like front mounted USB and audio ports on the top front of the case, for easy access. I prefer side panels that can be removed without hardware (thumb screws). Internally, lots of unused space in my rig, but I'm ok with that. Plenty of room for expansion. I also look at placement of the device bays. Good SSD placement makes for neat, tight cabling. That's another advantage of a larger case: you have more options when it comes to cable management. I could go on, but those are the main points to me.

when it comes down to gaming the AM4 series socket top CPU's only under perform intels top CPU's by 5 - 10 FPS. when running 2 SLI 1070's, the frame rate margin is negligible, and irrelevant.
