Diskpart.

-Get the HDD out of the Notebook and get it on another PC
-Boot the system from the PCs HDD/SSD
-get the console open
-type "Diskpart"
-accept to make changes at your current system
-type "list disk" (maybe listdisk)
-select the Notebook HDD (u can see which one it is based on the capacity)
-if selected, type "Clean"
-close the console

Fin.
The HDD is completly cleaned.

If you dont know how to do this before you get started you're going to fuck it up I guarantee it.
But if you're serious then yeah just plug in the hdd into that old tower, boot it into bios (usually I boot with a windows installation disk and make my way to repair, then to the command prompt) and follow other anons steps to clear it
(I suggest double checking everything before you start)

Hey you know now that I actually think about it you're gonna need to reinstall an operating system after you wipe it. You might as well just fresh install windows and fuck the whole bios thing. The installation process gives you the option to wipe it anyways.

I didin't even think of that. the first thing they do when you have an issue with your laptop is reimage it and give it back, if it still has problems they replace the hardrives and if it still has problems they give you a new laptop.
