I dropped out of mechanical engineering, so imo schools a waste of time, but try and specialize in something. The beginning is always the hardest but once you build some type of proven track record there's nothing stopping you. Personally I learned everything there is to know about building websites, went to medical offices and showed them how outdated and inefficient their platforms are on mobile devices. So as long as I get them 1-2 additional customers a month. they wont have a problem paying me 1k a month to do whatever it is for them. Find 8 offices and youre making 100k/year. If youre in marketing you should learn html, css and java script. You should be making these websites for them. Use google and facebook to advertise, theyre great tools. I dont know much about your product but try and make any potential customer feel like theyre buying into a community. If youre in the US always use your products origin to your advantage. I never went the sales funnel route, id research potential clients and what I could actually do for them. If you cant realistically do anything for them just move on dont waste your time. You need results. Probably wont need a website of your own depending on what kind of marketing youre going to be doing. If youre doing local businesses try and find a small to medium sized one, a business where the boss is going to be at work everyday. Usually if you try and talk to them in person they'll listen.
