I've got loads of hidden cams. Two lighter ones, a usb one and a car key one.

Just leave them lying around so they get used to seeing them.

Here was my plan:

>Hollow it out to fit phone inside
>Cut tiny hole to allow camera a view
>Place in magazine basket in bathroom/changing room at pool party I was hosting with 5+ girl friends

Didn't work though, half of them wore their suits under their clothes, the other weren't consistent with their changing so I couldn't reliably enact the plan.

the same rules apply for covert surveillance in any enclosed space. find somewhere dark and inconspicuous, vents are good if you dont have time to modify the room. Ducting can be cut and power/video cables run into the duct to feed the camera. If youre not an amature you'll get a small HD IP cam and a NVR. As far as the bathroom thing, youre on your own there. Take 10 seconds to think of the horrors that go on behind closed doors, and why you wouldnt want to see that. Its not all roses and sunshine.

Has anyone ever tried the wall phone charger video cameras? I'm considering getting one, it supposedly looks just like an iPhone charging brick, but has an internal camera and never runs out of battery since it's plugged into the wall. They even still work as a functional charger. Seems like it would be a pretty innocuous way to film.

I was tempted I must say. They look great!

The two reasons it won't work for me are:

Needs to be plugged in. Which means I'm limited to where I can put it. There's just nowhere suitable in my house/where I want to use it. All the sockets are either to well hidden or facing the wrong way.

The second reason is that it overrides the recording once it's full. It loops back to the beginning and records over stuff I potentially want to keep. This could be a problem. Especially if it's in my hot housemates room and I can't just walk in and get it.

Good points, I suppose if the conditions are right it could work well. This summer I'll be living with a pretty attractive friend of mine (along with someone else) with a shared bathroom.

If there's a well placed outlet I'm thinking to make a normal phone charger in that outlet a regular thing and then when I'm confident that it's become unnoticeable to eventually pull a, "oh, you're getting a shower? Let me grab my (shoes, phone, whatever) first" and then quickly switch out the charger for the camera.
