Not that guy but kratom most def can get you high. It's a big trend right now to say that kratom doesn't have a high in an effort to keep dea from scheduling it, but it can be on par with a decent dose of hydro or oxy provided the strain is decent.

Kratom potency is like weed potency without grower quality control. Kratom quality is dependent on when harvested, sun quality, what kind of season it grew in, etc. things those asians can't really control given the fact that they are leaves from a 50 foot tree and grow naturally.

Kratom alkaloids are just as much opioid receptors agonists as oxy or hydro.

The extracts are a really mixed bag and I've never been fully satisfied with them. They can be very pricey too. My favorite is thai strains, green vein specifically. They give energy with opiate like effects. Red vein is the traditional way to go for opiate like effects but green works too and has a longer duration. I would also reccomend a quality red vein maeng da, which can be hard to find. Kalimantan red veins and Malaysian green veins tend to be very potent too

Like the other anon said there is a huge disparity in quality, head shop shit is typically gargabe but a vender with fresh sourced stuff can be incredibly potent. Also when I take it in capsules it seems to not work nearly as well

Take a sip off water but don't swallow
get a small spoon full of powder, not a full scoop!
tilt your head back and toss the powder back quickly and swallow, very quickly
there you go, very easy but takes some practice. start with smaller amounts of powder and work your way up with practice. the alternative is mix the powder in 50% grapefruit juice (its a potentiator) and 50% water and chug it as fast as possible. I use as little water as possible so there is less volume to drink but enough to make sure there aren't any chunks. you can also I think brew a tea and strain it, but I've never done it. The preparations I've had like this are pretty good, I think there was also honey in it. The toss and wash method I recommended is the best though imo. I used to only make preparations with water but once I started doing toss and wash its all I do, you taste it way less and is way faster. Least disgusting way I think
