If it is connected to your router, it is connected either wired or wireless. If wired, you can trace the cable back to where the camera is. It's probably a wireless camera though for simplicity.

Either way, the camera requires either electricity or a battery to keep it going.

Scanning your local IP range with Angry IP scanner or similar tool will show you every host in your range and then you have found the camera easily.

Look up the defaults, reset the router, find the camera, then turn the mains power on and off to simulate a powercut and blame that on the reset if asked
