I can confirm this anecdotally, I look at my single friends, male and female, and this phenomenon is kinda crippling their lives. If anything it's worse for teh women to brainwashed this way. Men are pretty good at entertaining themselves and just getting on with life. They can sink themselves into hobbies, and just jerk off and remain content.
