They got rid of the physical buttons for a bigger screen with a stupid screen ratio that no one benefits from, especially when viewing video, they moved the fingerprint sensor to the most stupidest place on earth, near the camera, so that is completely unnatural to reach for the scanner and you will always hit the lens with you finger, the CPU isn't much faster than the S7 and the camera didn't have any substantial improvement from the one on the S7, both in hardware and in software department.
I would have chosen the S7, in the galaxy line, a much better price to performance ratio phone.
In general I would consider a Pixel (if i wouldn't care about memory expansion), a Oneplus 3T also would be a great choice.

Lol I actually got to pick whether I wanted the edge or not. For me they were the same price. I thought the edge was dumb af when I first got it but then I started using it. I use my calculator a lot and the timer. Instead of having to search throughout my phone for those two apps, I just have them on the edge. It's really useful but I couldn't see myself paying like $200 extra for it but since there was no price difference, its amazing. But I just don't use it for those two things, I use it a lot more for other shit.

Work tried to give me an Android phone. I just have them my personal iPhone number instead and told them I have an unlimited data and minutes plan so I don't mind using it for work.

At least I know my iPhone screen won't turn pink; the phone isn't likely to explode; doesn't have easily bypassed 'security' features; won't keep randomly shutting down; has a great camera; won't get a virus; doesn't come loaded with stupid fucking bloatware; and I don't have to spend ages fucking around with it and installing third party software to actually do what it's supposed to do quickly and smoothly out of the box.

And yes, you could buy an outdoor case and put your iPhone in it, but i don't see the point. Most of the people that own iPhones say that the styling is one of the major factors of their purchase. Now, if they put their beloved piece of jewelry in a rugged case that, let's be honest, looks like shit, the entire phone will look like shit.
