Masons come in all shapes and sizes. It's a fraternity where inside everyone is on equal ground ("on the level"). My city's mayor is a Mason, but so is my band's guitarist. They do a lot of work for the community and also offer networking to members, because the standards for getting in are pretty high (no criminal record, belief in a higher power, etc).
