Sounds like your cable is bad, replace the cable. With neglect and too tight of wrapping, your cable will begin to fail. Bending it in weird ways just to work on your phone both shows that you're poor and you have a bad cable.

There is a such thing as cheap quality. Samsung cables tend to fail me the most. LG cables are solid in a pinch, but for my money, the OEM HTC cables are really great. The only downside to them is they have a horrible tension release on each end. Other than that, they're excellent for charging and syncing.

Not all MicroUSB cables are made the same. Certain cheap MicroUSB cables stick out when I plug them into my phone and they tend to not work right, while others click nicely and work perfectly.

That's one way to do it; with my current molds, it's slightly hard for me to make sleeves. Ideally, the silicone of the sleeve would have to be softer (because that seems to be what the people like lmao) which makes the consistency of it more runny and therefore harder to 'paint' into the inside of the mold.

Well you could design the core first since you would need one to make a toy inflatable in the first place. Then make a resin cast of it and use that as a inner mold for the sleeve. You'd need a secure way to brace it though to make sure the core doesnt get offset.

With a hard resin cast center you should be able to secure the cast to the top of the box or to some sort of base to be bolted to the underside of the top.

2 hoses/pumps/thing, one on each side. Since you will need to seal the holes for the hoses to not drip silicone the sealing (hotglue or whatever) will keep both hoses on place or you can use additional support with any kind of clamps. That should keep it leveled.
