I really love these old glass bulb-style xmas lights, the ones that get really hot and are probably dangerous, but when a bulb blew out you just unscrewed it and put in another.
Old people who recently died or moved out used to have a big pine tree in their yard and in the 90's every December would put these up all over it. I miss that.
These new LED lights look like some new-age shit. I keep meaning to buy a few strands of the glass ones online and put them up but shits kinda expensive.

I'd say things have just grown up and become more mature, in terms of design and shit.
But aside from that, Daggerfall is still one of the best DOS games ever made, nigga.
>>730367093
Nostalgia does that to a person. Hell, I bought 'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream' off steam a while back because I loved that game. At the time it was one of the darkest adventure games out there, that and Harlan Ellison hamming it up as AM.
But now the game feels clunky as all hell and the story is cheesy. But back in the day I felt like an edgelord playing this game.
>>730367442

My mom (Who is 77 now in a care facility) loves these. I remember them as a kid in the 80s. Recently when she went to the home I looked for her last Christmas tree - a small, 3 and a half footer with several strands of these c9 bulbs. All bulbs individually flashed on that little tree. It was an epileptic's nightmare.

Sodas tasted better many years ago. Modern Pepsi and Coke and Dr Pepper use a lower concentration of syrup to save money.
One thing that's better? The can pull-tops! Back in the day they were pic-related, and they didn't stay with the can. You'd show up to the lake, or park, or campsite where there had been a party the night before and find a hundred of them (or more!) just lying on the ground. Dangerous if you stepped on them as a kid running around barefoot.
>>730390780
yeah, they had actual sugar in them back then!
>>730387861
I still have that disc around here somewhere. The Pro Skater 2 demo let you use the park editor and had this one really tall drop-in ramp that wasn't in the finished game, and if you didn't designate a start spot you dropped in out of the sky.
So naturally we put the huge ramp under where you drop out of the sky with a launch ramp right in front of it and spent hours making a perfect park around it. You couldn't save your park on the demo, so we had to remember and rebuild it every time we put the demo in. MASSIVE disappointment when we got the full game and found out that the huge start ramp wasn't in it.
One of these days I'm going to rip that demo disc and convert it for psp so I can rebuild that park and save it as a savestate.
