The MX-5 has always had this image problem, which is a shame because it's a brilliant car. Think a watered-down Ferrari.

It's everything I look for in a roadster. Small, light, nimble, front engined, rear wheel drive. It's not particularly quick, but that just means you get to enjoy the top end more often on the public roads.

I'm pretty comfortable in my sexuality and good looking, so don't need to compensate with the image of my car so it's a strong option for me.
