If you look at the stars, we have this brilliant little thing called the North Star. It's even part of the flat earth "proof", because they say it's the "center of the disc".

Ok... how, then, does flat earth explain the fact that we can see a second pole of rotation in the south hemisphere? It's called the southern cross, and you can see it from pretty much any part of the southern hemisphere, no matter what continent you were on.

Now, if we were truly on a disk, you would expect to look into the southern sky and see the stars spinning flat across the horizon. After all, according to flatter earth The south is just to the edge of the disk.

But instead, we see another pole of rotation - another fixed point in the sky, just like the North Star. The only way to do that is to exist on a three-dimensional shape, and to move from one end of it to the other. I challenge any of you idiots saying flat earth works to explain this one away.

If the Earth was flat and the Sun hovered above it and moved in a great circle around the N pole, you would see a difference from reality in motion most marked at times of rise and set. Place yourself on the equator during the equinox. At rise, the Sun would appear somehow and from north of the equator (left), with slow movement towards you (foreshortened) and southward (right, as it follows its circular path). Its horizontal motion diminshes over the course of the morning as its direction loses an X-component. As it reaches overhead (Noon) it would be moving most quickly and almost straight east-west. After Noon it would appear to slow down and begin its drift right (north), and farther along it loses the vertical movement (yet never set) while gaining the drift to the right and magically disappearing.

That of course, is not what we see at the equator during an equinox. The Sun rises due east, transits straight up, and sets due west all at a constant angular speed all along its path, which is apparently straight up, over, and down, because in this geometry you (not a distant pole) are at the center of a circle it appears to trace.

This entire discussion is retarded but here are a few things to consider.
When talking about Earth being flat, keep in mind that gravity, as mainstream science portrays it, does not exist according to flat Earth science. This is why it would be possible for the Earth to be shaped like a disk. The sun would be much smaller and closer, the Earth is moving upwards rapidly, causing everything to be forced down, etc. According to flat Earth science, that is simply how the universe functions. It obviously seems crazy to throw out fundamental laws of physics and just say that the universe works that way but it is just as ridiculous for mainstream science or anyone to claim that they know how the laws of physics work.
Science, although it is our best understanding of the universe, has been proven wrong time after time.
Now I still don't believe the Earth is flat because there is no reason for scientists, the government, NASA, or anyone to continue to tell us that the Earth is round if it was actually flat. Many flat Earth theorists claim that the government knows the Earth is flat but told us it was a sphere because they needed to fake going into space during the space race with Russia. This is plausible but there is no reason for every scientist and the government to continue this lie.
Anyway, all or nearly all of the people in this thread are not in any position to argue about the topic (including me). Unless you have been to space or are a scientist and have first-hand experience that can prove the Earth is round or flat, you don't have any way to prove that the Earth is either shape. There is just so much we don't understand about the universe.
