I have one of those screwdriver handles that hold all kind of different bits. But instead of using the screwdriver, I put the bits into a socket and just use my ratchet wrench instead.

It's fun. Biggest challenge for me was the furnace, since I absolutely wanted it gas-powered. I've gone through a temporary brick one, now gonna build a steel+firebrick one, then i'll be set. Coal is easier cause you just need a hole in the ground and a hairdryer.

Just get a block of steel, a hammer, a piece of rebar and a temporary fire. Give it a go and see if you like it. If you don't, no loss, if you do, invest more time and money.

Once a month I build a small explosive device to help train the local police departments bomb squad get practice.
I pretty much spend the whole month building the device and gathering supplies.
The goal is to make something that could be built with easily obtainable materials and give the newbies some experience.
I already work demo for a local excavation company so it really is a hobby even though I blow shit up daily.
