Simons quest is a great game, sure it's cobsidered the "black sheep" of the series, but like Zelda 2 it was different, and that's what made it great, if anything it inspired symphony of the night, with the huge multilevel world to explore and backtracking, collecting various items to move forward in the game and whatnot, plus imo had the best soundtrack of all castlevanias

Zelda 2 is deceptively deep. Battle controls and reading were crisp and taught you how to play the game through failure. First couple hours are the only parts that are that ridiculously hard. Once you get a hang of combat the rest of the game is ezpz.

It's hard to explain honestly if you haven't played them, but the stories and character interactions are really "streamlined", it has quest markers instead of making you follow directions and explore, Morrowind had a huge menu of customizable attributes and skills while Skyrim has NO attributes and a much shorter list of skills, it's just generally more marketed to normies instead of to people who love RPG's. I'm kinda hoping someone else can help me out here because I don't feel like I'm explaining it very well.

bethesda knows how to build a beautiful world, they're probably the best. but the elderscolls used to be classic style rpg's and now they're little more than a template for modders. the story and gameplay are utter shit. the NPC actually conform to whatever lvl you are so the whole thing is meaningless. What can you say about this game that hasn't already been said? Super Mario World is a classic game that produced amazing characters in the mario universe such as Yoshi's, the Koopalings, kamek, and even the goomba, mario's most famous adversary. This game added new mechanics to the universe like spin jumping, wall jumping, 3D portions, Starworld, and upgrades like the leaf, feather, and the one what turns mario into a furry. What an innovative and fun game.

I enjoy the game a lot, but the systems are flat-out broken. When you can be ridiculously OP in the first 2 hours of the game to the point where you can steamroll every last monster/boss throughout the rest of it, something isn't right.

The 3rd act really drags as well. Story comes to a screeching halt once they are done pulling out elements.

I didn't love 8, but I didn't overly enjoy it. I always hated it until I actually spent the time to sit down and work through it, and afterwards I realised it's not that bad.
