Get a douche and clean out before anal. If you do it properly you can fuck yourself with it as long as you want and it still won't smell.

If you don't, wash it thouroughly with soap and water and let it dry, the smell goes away after a little while, don't know why. Don't know aobut the nail polish remover, but I wouldn't recommend it, just to be safe.

It's taken me a couple of years to reach this point, but then I've not been using them as regularly as I could have been.

Going from anal virgin to about a 5-6" circumference plug could take a month or two if you're using a couple of times a week.

You need to allow several days between sessions when you're working your way up in size to allow for recovery.

Best bet is go slow and use loads of lube, nothing will set you back faster than going overkill and tearing yourself. That's not fun.

Not gonna talk for the other guy, but an inch of diameter increase a week is a pretty tall order in my opinion. You gotta take it slow, or you can cause some serious injury to yourself. You gotta learn your ass to relax, and stretch it out slowly enough to take bigger stuff, but not break it or tear it. You gotta slowly increase the size, and push yourself slowly. Using the same plug everyday won't help you increase the size noticeably.

I normally spend 30-40 minutes warming up each session before getting onto the biggest one.

Saying that I now start with a nice tapered plug that's about 7.5" diameter to start with and I spend about 5-10 minutes just playing and gently stretching with that before popping it all the way in.

You should always warm up with smaller things before going big. I can take over 6cm diameter stuff, but I always start with a small plug with a 1.5cm diameter. Warming up keeps you from tearing yourself. I've tried going straight to mediumsized toys, didn't end well.
