The current Amundsen Scott base is a propaganda creation of the CIA to divert attention away from the well defended bunker entrance.

Try using Google maps to zoom onto the South Pole, you will find it heavily distortet, masking the true scenery there with hundreds of shot down planes and drones.

yes, there are easy ways to spot the fakes, they generally do not get the eagle correct among other descrepancies. That and they usually fake a more prominent maker. I lucked into it after my friends grandfather died. His dad had died a few years before so he ended up with all his grand dads stuff. He needed money and didn't want to keep it so sold it to me for 200.00 his grandpa went ashore at normandy with the 4th infantry if he is to be believed, but he did have alot of memorabilia from his grandad.
