I think "american cuisine" is just a culmination of all other cuisines. its so easy to get so many different cultures' foods here that I feel like it kind of makes up for not having a noteworthy cuisine of our own, other than local flavors (southern cooking, city sandwiches, NY/Chicago pizza, etc.)

For instance, from where I live right now I wouldn't have to walk more than 10 minutes to get to an Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Indian, and Greek restaraunt. And probably some others I'm not thinking of.

Traditionally has no tomato or other thickeners and has stuff like oyster juice or some other seafood shit in it.
