Google Pixel.

It's been an awesome phone. Tons of software updates and bug fixes because Google can just push out updates instead of waiting a year for the manufacturer to get around to it.

The HDR+ feature on the camera is pretty amazing, and the video stabilization works great.

Good battery life, fast charging. 5" screen that means it actually fits in your pocket.

It's definitely been the best phone I've owned. My previous favorite was the original Motorola Moto X.

The latest "Moto" phones from Lenovo kind of suck compared to the original. They lost their emphasis on ergonomics and just put out giant phablets.

And I used to be an iphone fan, but frankly, the iphone OS has sucked for years compared to Android. Even after Apple finally put in a real notification screen and mutlti-tasking years later, Android is still way better and easier to use.

And doesn't require iTunes syncing to download shit onto your computer.. The day I got to uninstall shitty bloated iTunes from my computer was a great day.

Yeah I've got an app called Anymote. It's a couple of quid for the full version, but you can trial it with one remote at a time on the free version.

I use it like a logitech harmony. I have all my separate remotes on there, then I've made one main remote for all my equipment that has my most used buttons. I use that 95% of the time.

You can also set up macros and it integrates with the ok google voice recognition. So for example I've set up a remote called 'system' with a couple of macros for turning everything on and off. I just say "Ok Google, system power on". It turns off my TV, dims the lights from bright white to low red, turns on the av receiver, turns it to the PS4 input and turns on the projector. System power off just does the same in reverse.

The amount of remote controls they have stored in their database beats the pants off any other remote control app I have used over the years.
