OP either go see a doctor or drink a bottle of vodka and get stuck in there with a knife.

Try to peel off the nail down the sides. This eases any growth into skin for a few days. Sometimes I like to make it get infected and squeeze the pus out.

clean that shit with antiseptic spray and cut awy enough from the nail to prevent another infection

Mine got so bad that I had to have invasive surgery at the podiatrist where they removed like 1/3rd of my nail but god damn was it satisfying.

The nail looks a bit weird since it's narrower than the other one but it's so fucking worth it because walking is painless now.

This happened to me before, just let it grow out no matter how painful it is and never cut it that short again. Also clean it every day by scraping gunk and putting a bandaid with neosporin on it every other day also every now and then just let it air out sit at your desk bare foot it will heal over time.

You can either remove the toenail, but this has a risk of coming back, OR get a minor surgery. The cut out a triangular piece of flesh from the side of your toe, and then sew it together under it. This is more permanent.

Take this from someone who has had ingrown toenails for about 12 years now - two operations, soon the plastic operation to remove a part of the nail bed.

The easiest way to do it at home, is to get Tweezers and nail scissors. Shit'll hurt if it's already infected, otherwise it's just like cutting nails.

Also, the tweezers have to have a very narrow, pointy head and they have to be grooved.

Basically:
Cut as far back to the "root" of the nail as you can with the scissors, clean up with the tweezers. Keep cleaning until the sharp, heavy pain dissapears - as soon as it dissapears, that means you got rid of the nail pieces.

Take a rubber band and tie it round it you will notice it start to blue up a bit but you will not have much pain, dig it out with some sterilized tools, tweezers pliers get you some straight clippers, If you soak it in warm salt water for 10-15 mins first it will be softer and cleaner. The band acts as a tourniquet so there will be little blood. Clip down the nail and pull towards the tip of your toe the nail is embedded on an angle back towards the knuckle. it will hurt op but the relief is amazing. When done soak back in warm salt water for 15 mins to make sure any infection doesn't start. Dry softly and then rinse with alcohol and peroxide. take some tylanol or whatever you have available you will need it. Make sure you keep cleaning with the peroxide first followed by the alcohol daily.

Finally probably the most important thing of all. If you don't reply to this thread you mother will die in her sleep tonight!

I used to do an epsom salt foot soak then pry the ingrown part out. This would inevitably bust the puss pocket, requiring further cleaning, before I'd shove some cotton underneath and trim the pointy part to smooth.
I'd always break it on the 1st or second cotton change and have another not too long after that.

Back like 8 years I got a shard of nail cut out all the way down the side and it hasn't ingrown since.
