A few years ago /b/ had OC, occasional CP, raid threads for lulz not for revenge, and memes. There used to be a couple of interesting threads at a time. Now you are lucky if there is one good thread a day. There is better content in the other boards. If they got rid of a lot of board /b/ would get better.

The problem is when they delete perfectly legal conversations. The thing that made 4chan in general - and /b/ specifically - so special in the past was that it allowed open, anonymous discussions and uncensored free speech. When the mods started to pick and choose which discussions were acceptable and which discussions were not, it was the end of what distinguished 4chan from the rest of the internet.
