I think he has plenty of qualifications to be a science guy, but not necessarily THE science guy. Kind of like Neil Degrasse Tyson or Carl Sagan, more of a spokesperson for science than an actual scientist (though no one has surpassed Carl Sagan in his charisma, articulation, and higher level understanding of the stuff he's talking about). But they remain informed so that, when they talk about it, they're not giving out false information.

Many of the smartest people I know never went for a higher degree because it tends to become more and more political at that level, and if you go against the grain you're basically swimming upstream.

Nostalgia is a powerful feeling.
It gives us a sense of longing for a time that was.
We develop an irrational love for things in our past that probably weren't actually very good, but are incredibly difficult to make an objective assessment of.
Entire industries have seized opportunities to capitalize on this feeling and how it can manipulate audiences.
Nostalgia is what you feel when you become an adult and have seen the world change.

Nostalgic things whatever that may be be for someone are the things that shaped us. The lost pieces of our past that we've most likely long forgotten. Nostalgia triggers a sense of warmth and comfort from a time when life was simple and less complicated because u had no real responsibilities. You remember being a kid and all those things that made you happy. Sometimes we forget some of those stupid little things that were once so important to us. And when you look at how complicated your life has gotten, you miss those simple days. Some of the shit I see in these threads I never would have thought id ever think of again. Then you start thinking and trigger lost memories. Good ones.

I feel like the potential of RPGs has diminished somewhat with the addition of voice acting. Characters can't say the player's name, or react more specifically to what you're doing, less dialogue options, etc...
I feel like with the technology and AI programming we can do now, we could create a living, breathing world where the people react realistically to everything you do and you can roleplay to your heart's content. But right now we just have dialogue wheels with four options and NPCs who say the same shit over and over again.

You knew that thing went through several horny dudes before ending up in your grubby mitts, and it was like getting a gift from God himself.
Then there was the whole planning of watching it and timing issues, making sure not a single person was around to disturb this moment, it was literally a whole fucking event.
Makes me want to buy a VCR and get some old porn tapes and have a good nostalgic fap.
