Not true at all. CEO salaries are tied to costs within a company and how much they charge for a product/service. It is not 1000 people in America, there are millions of CEO's who make above a million a year.

Minimum wage effects my life only in how much people get paid and how much expendable income they have to spend back into the economy, which benefits EVERYONE.

I can confirm that people tend to abuse welfare.

the welfare state is well-meaning, and has its heart in the right place, but it doesn't work out. it ends up supporting lots of dead weight on the bottom, which feeds the growth of an unemployed/criminal underclass.

there are times when welfare is needed, but handouts must be given sparingly and with restraint.
