This is why i asked the question. 4chan is the one place where lefty religion is not shoved down my throat. If /b becomes corrupted i will have no place to go.

I used to be more left leaning a few years back. I came to 4chan out of curiosity and ended up staying, Personally I don't really care about what somebodies political stance is as long as you're able to talk about it without the butthurt feelings. It makes me ashamed to see so man liberals like that today.

Since then I lean more right which i never thought would happen but whatever

Ive had intellectual conversations on 4chan before, but i sourta lost my patience over the web. In person im all about it, but i dont think there is a purpose to push their motives on a mostly right leaning site.

4chan is a liberal mecca and it's existence is wholly anti-conservative. As such, I always consider the "right wingers" on 4chan to be trolls(OP for instance) of no political or moral affiliation who are simply get off on irritating people. I'm sure there are a few actual conservatives on 4chan that are too dumb to realize what is going on but you could say that about most sites.

I may be a liberal but I am NOT an SJW, and I despise them. Months ago I was pretty liberal and I still am when it comes to the environment but ISIS and the bombings and terror attacks are bringing me far to the right. I am starting to get redpilled. Even as a liberal I thought I wouldn't care about gay, trans, or whatever but there aren't 80000000 fucking genders. Another thing for me is I do not have a problem about gay people. Only the ones that feel entitled and are stereotypical make me want to shove their teeth down their throats, same goes for all of the SJWs and gendertards in general. I also like calling people niggers, and racism, anti-semitism and anything of the likes is fuckin funny.
>>
>>728256881

it was a thread about physical adaptations of animals, conversation shifted to what adaptation other than our intelligence do humans as an animal have , the answer was that humans are long distance runners with almost no other animal being able to run as far without rest as us(early humans literally chasing their prey to death), some guy became skeptical in the thread he was shown the evidence, then accepted it.
I have literally never seen that happen on 4chan again, where someone was presented with evidence and accepted it rather than doubling down.

ted kaczynski made an observation about left wingers in his time that most of them joined political movements not out of genuine belief in them but as a form of socializing, like joining a fraternity or rooting for a sports team,
to be honest the people here seem like the right wing equivalent to that.
>>
>>728257142
You know most right wingers dont care about any of that stuff either, right? We only care when it starts affecting our liberty i.e. forces to cater a gay wedding if against our religion (not me personally) tells a 9 year old girl she can be a boy if she wants, etc.

You should look up the documentary "the red pill"

The reason why i hate leftists so much is because their beliefs contradict eachother too much. There is really only emotion and no logic behind their arguments.

"the fascists of the future will call themselves the anti fascists" - Winston Churchill

>>728257187
>I consider this site alt right
Really? I see it as completely and absolutely liberal in it's underlying foundation. The idea of posting whatever you want while remaining anonymous is incredibly liberal. Even the content (most of which is garbage) is very liberal: stoner threads, wwyd threads, rekt threads, gore threads, nude girl threads, etc. Where is the conservatism? Saying you support Trump and that you hate liberals does not make you a conservative or a member of the alt-right. It is your actions that define who you are and being on 4chan and the internet is general is rather anti-conservative.

Yes, an isolationist foreign policy. Not wanting to get involved in wars or pretty much a lot of foreign affairs at all.

I would disagree that alt right can be conservative. Alt right do not agree on A LOT of conservative values. Alt right displays liberal tactics with republican underlining view. Republican =/= conservative either. Conservative is value based, republican is political based. Alt right is edgy political tactics who take everything a bit far.
>>
>>728257603
Same can be said of the far right. People in the middle tend to be so for more honest reasons. Moderates. On the other hand there are some true believers on both far wings. It's like religion. Some people are Republicans because their parents are. They fully buy into the propaganda. These are the folks who sent global warming and evolution.
>>
I'm not sure. i was raised in a FAR left town, given a left-wing education, essentially sheltered from conservative views all my life and those i did encounter were demonized by everyone. Nothing about this website should appeal to me, at least not on paper. i COULD say it's me rebelling against my parents for raising me that way, but i know that's not true and it's also a retarded thing to say.

I guess it's the fact that everyone here is comfortable in their own skin. Anonymity has pulled back a veil for me and shown me a place where you can say weird shit, have different opinions, and not worry about being shamed.

I don't want to be on 4chan too constantly. Nor will I be on here forever. Just long enough for me to grow thicker skin. Once I've expressed my honest opinion on here enough to the point that it's second nature, I'll be able to apply that to the real world and I think it'll make me a better person... or perhaps just an asshole in SJW's eyes, but whatever

That was an outlier, but i do feel it was an important point. In San Fransisco they have already started teaching kids about transgenderism history and such. The radicalization of schools have been incredibly biased and its gotten to the point where kids arent being taught how to critically come up with their own opinion but theyre sourtve indoctrinated to an extent imo. Plus telling a kid they can be any gender will only confuse them and generations to come. They arent old enough to know what they want and they dont have the decision making skills to make mature decisions. In that sense, it does take some liberty away from them. Youre stripping them from their innocence and imposing an ideal that can change their life forever where they might have not even thought about it once on their own.

I agree, I believe that in order to make a political decision based on religion, you will need to make a secular one as well. GOP is not good at articulating theirs, but i think for most of their "older" policies there is a good secular argument for them. I dont care about what they say but i care more about what they do. I know thats a taboo way of looking at politics, but logically it makes more sense than the contrary (where liberals care more about what they say and not what they do)

Not in your lifetime it hasnt. Believe it or not thats what school used to be. I was lucky enough to attend 3 different highschools. Yea, i honesty believe as a conservatism that part of the problem is having a bigger government. In simplified terms bigger govt = more people = less responsibility/blam = more corruption. I believe if we had a smaller govt it would be easier to keep in check and less people would have less opportunity to fuck things up. A smaller govt is easier to control by the people and less likely to go rogue.. imo

>political ideologies or something
Liberalism and conservatism have nothing to do with politics. They are labels given to people who fall into either category.
A liberal is someone who believes in the advancements in all aspects for life be it science, art, entertainment, government, or ideologies. A liberal looks at the past and present, identifies perceived problems, and tries to make the future "better"
A conservative is someone who believes that these aspects of life should not advance and instead remain how they are. An analogy to this would be the quote "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". A conservative believes it doesn't matter how things got the way they are or how they are going to be in the future. They are concerned with the present and maintaining status quo.
This is why many old people identify as conservative: they don't have long left on this planet so they simply don't care about the future. And why many young people identify as liberal: they are thinking of their lives down the road. This also explains why many people go from liberal to conservative over the course of their life.

In short, sometimes, it is still possible to find an interesting thread here. However, the prevalent repetitiveness and thoughtlessness makes me visit less and less.

I love how progressives claim to be the champions of science, until it makes a claim that doesn't align with their ideology. If you want to see how batshit crazy feminism cultural marxism are, look up "the science wars" and "intellectual impostors". Dawkins has a pretty good review of the latter here

Nah, i wouldnt. I think a lot of the government entities are far too big for their lesser importance. EPA, Dept of Education ( before anyone says i dont think we should have schools.. the best schools in the country are private schools.. at all levels. When you create incentive for people, its forced to turn out better .. govt has no incentive. They make the same dime, have job security, and lack risk) and a few others. These departments overlap and politicize too much for their own good. It creates a power bubble where the people in charge of these departments have an ulterior motive (more funding, more and more resources, influence.. and theyre never satisfied)

On my point about the market doing a better job than the govt.. its been true in every case. Before Fedex and UPS, USPS was a terrible delivery service. Packages would get lost all the time, youd recieve mail a month- a few months too late a lot more often, and it was going brankrupt. Ordinary people have their money to risk.. When they create business its all about eficiency. USPS was forced to improve their service.

This is true also with the first railroads being built in the US. The govt hired contractors and paid them per mile for railroads they built. Well.. that created an incentive to find a route that gave the contracting group more mileage which = more money. Project lasted years and it was an utter failure and waste of money In come Vanderbuilt with his own damn money and started a whol new project and created railroads of his time. Theres a good video on this on youtube.

>>728260065

if private contractors are so much better than the government how come almost every major leak has come from a government contracted company?
>>
>>728260309
>Before Fedex and UPS, USPS was a terrible delivery service. Packages would get lost all the time, youd recieve mail a month- a few months too late a lot more often, and it was going brankrupt.
none of that is true. service has improved because computers and airplanes, not competition.
>>
>>728259570
Yet, as you can see, the people in the thread cant help themselves but start shitting out their political opinions, disregarding the initial theme.
>>
>>728255163
Because I loathe echochambers, and I don't really see the point in using forums where people just reinforce each others opinions all day.
>>
>>728260309
>far too big for their lesser importance. EPA
nothing is more important to the survival of humanity than the state of the environment.
>>
>>728260616
First of all private contractors are hired and paid by the government. I dont think theyre better. I was actually implying the opposite. Also intel is not a business, its an aspect of politics. Leaks have incredible political influence and as i said before usulaly has ulterior motives. Also when someone leaks something that has nothing to do with the contractor. Thats someones personal ideology and its imposed because of that, not because of the companies motives or objective. A contractor hired by the government would definitely not want that on their track record. Also Intel is not a materialistic good.
>>
>>728260309
>the best schools in the country are private schools
the more expensive thing is better? why, it must be because the people who work there don't have good jobs.

Socialists did not fairly compensate when the they've nationalized a particular industry or service.
>>
>>728260900
Well i cant argue with your own personal facts. Youll either research it or believe that competition has no effect on businesses. Its not worth pursuing that conversation if youre so sure of yourself. Just look into it please and if you still believe what you do, so be it. It seems we have a fundemental different opinion on how the market works
>>
>>728261161
What do you think would happen if schools were treated as a business? They would seek the best teachers and lowest prices.. just like any other business you see on yelp. yeah i will admit the right have a much better understanding of economics than the left do. for social stances i feel like the right is too authoritarian for my liking. If somebody wants to have an abortion, let them. if they wanna suck a trans nigger dick in their own home, let them. i couldnt care less about that

then some significant portion of the population would not receive it.

Well, if you're the one who was making broad generalizations about cuts to various Gov. programs earlier, you'd be well-advised to analyze what, exactly, is being cut, and then break down the implications of those cuts -- especially regarding agencies like the EPA.

And the whole "reduce government" mantra that conservatives like to tout is all well and good until they realize that corporations tend to do shady shit when left to their own devices.

never said i dont think free public schools should exist. I said in my other comments they should, but as the check of the local countys, not the federal govt who "doesnt give two shits about nor do they care" if i quoted myself correctly

I mostly post on /tg/, /vg/ and /his/.
/b/ just happens to be somewhere to kill time while I wait for other threads to move.
It's also pretty decent practice for not getting annoyed at what other people say.

Besides, what would conservatives want with a Vietnamese basket-weaving forum in the first place?
