Depends on user needs/use-case. Windows is good as a day to day OS, certain linux distros are useful for specific tasks. Though I admit I'm using 'nix less now that Win10 supports BASH...

If you're not gayming or need specific windows only programs Ubuntu is actually a lot easier and faster to use than Windows. There is a reason I installed it for my 60 year old mom.

Also, windows desktops are fucking boring since they're all the same. Might as well just make it a wallpaper thread then.
