I have two cats and a dog and like them all for their own reasons. I'd like another cat but the one I've got won't have any of that. He's a fucking asshole. On the other hand one of my dogs is pant-on-head retarded and will walk into walls/furniture/people without even noticing it. She also seems to have no depth perception so she doesn't handle stairs well.

One of my old dogs used to shit in the very back of our garden, where my parents would place cut lawn or plants in general to rott, no one bothered with that. She also used to pee on some sorta entrance for the sewer.
She generally was quite independent, didn't want to go out for walks, just running a few rounds through the garden and feeding her was perfectly fine.
She also barely ever barked. Only times she did so was when my brother or I were playing with her in our garden, when we had her toy and wouldn't give her a chance to "win". But yeah, that barely ever happened.
